Our Minister

square For WebThe Reverend Kristin Maier has served as minister to the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Northfield since 2009. She earned her Masters of Divinity at United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities and Bachelor of Arts from Carleton College. Prior to being ordained,  she was an educator, working predominantly with at-risk youth. Kristin is the author of A Good Telling: Bringing Worship to Life with Story, and often shares her gift for storytelling at UUFN.  In her free time, she enjoys studying and teaching aikido, a non-competitive martial art. Our Director of Children and Youth Programs

 FB IMG_1474460238657~3Ella Sommer serves as the Director of Children and Youth Programs for the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Northfield. She has several years of experience working in the field of education as a substitute teacher for K-12 students in Minneapolis, as an after-school program assistant at Northfield Public Schools, and as an English teacher while serving with the Peace Corps in Rwanda from 2011-2013. She brings her own experiences and interests to this role as she is also a licensed yoga instructer and an amateur guitar and piano player.  Questions about our Children and Youth programs?  Contact Ella via email.
