Our Minister

square For WebThe Reverend Kristin Maier has served as minister to the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Northfield since 2009. She earned her Masters of Divinity at United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities and Bachelor of Arts from Carleton College. Prior to being ordained,  she was an educator, working predominantly with at-risk youth. Kristin is the author of A Good Telling: Bringing Worship to Life with Story, and often shares her gift for storytelling at UUFN.  In her free time, she enjoys studying and teaching aikido, a non-competitive martial art. Our Director of Children and Youth Programs

James Coulter serves as the Director of Children and Youth Programs for the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Northfield. James brings a unique blend of personal and professional experience to the role. He has several years experience in supporting the implementation of social and emotional learning, violence prevention and bullying prevention curricula for the Seattle-based organization, Committee for Children. He served in the Peace Corps in Zambia from 2002 to 2004. And, he is an artist, creating jewelry and home accessories with wood, metal and bone.
